BLAHG

That is Blind Lady Ale House's Blog name at www.blindlady.blogspot.com. I went there for the first time today with my friend Brett and Ethan, aka Sleepy E (I prefer to call him Snorey E.. but it's apparently a sensitive subject with him!) We had this ahhhh-mazing pizza that had potatoes, artichokes, and strips of prosciutto.. Deeee-lish! I had a glass of the Nautical Brown Ale and man, do I love brown ales?! It was good times with some good peeps. I will definitely be going back there for some more. The atmosphere inside was very welcoming. Wood panels everywhere and for decor, they had some throwback advertisements on the walls and also on select tables. Here's an advertisement I pulled from their blog about this weekend's specials:
Maybe you can go there tomorrow and watch the Olympics Hockey finals: US vs. CAN? Yessssss? Yes!

Kid Sister at Voyeur

Last night I went out with my Russian Anzhelas: Svetlana (Joy,) Natasha (Tarin) and our lovely friend, Lauren, whom we call: "Can I buy a girl a drank?" We were dressed sooo cute! Kid Sister was performing at this local club called Voyeur and she tore it up. Let me tell you, this "kid" has some stage presence.. and not to mention massive talent. Lucky for us girls, our fairy godmother Dang was working and she hooked us up in the Coffin Room. We got to meet a lot of cool peeps there, mingled, danced, and drank our faces off! Now I have a giant headache and just trying to get through the day.... love love love!
Ben De Camp aka The Style Shark was there last night and here's some fun photos of us. Apparently, our group was too big but the pics are still amazing. The last one is of T$ and her Lil' Wayne dress.

Who is this?

I don't know but she looks strikingly familiar.. and when I say that.. I mean as an actress, not as an acquaintance or anything. Just saying. I love this photo though. It really makes me want to know her.

Boosh Music

Check out this British show called The Mighty Boosh. It is pure awesomeness. Here's a mix that I found that showcases a bunch of songs in the show. So cool man.

Facebook should be called Slambook

Yes. I am on Facebook everyday. But I try to not use it as a 'soap box' of sorts since a lot of my "friends" on there are not really my closest of friends and I just do not like to air my dirty laundry for everyone to see. A post that a close friend of mine put up today just made me mad. How dare someone.. who demands that others respect their own happiness.. bash on another's?! It boggles my mind. That's why I consider those who do 'air' their dirty laundry on Facebook.. as someone who uses it as sort of a Slam-book. You know those books, the ones that went around in middle/high school where you secretly write things about other people anonymously? Some comments are nice.. some are mean. But then again.. that was back in high school. HIGH SCHOOL. I'd like to think I've made some sort of growth as a person up to this point in my life. I still haven't learned the true meaning of: never let emotions get the best of you. But when you post comments that hurt someone I love.. Shame on you.

So let's all try to live with some sort of common respect, decency, and pure love for the wrecked souls out there. They are your neighbors. They are your brothers and sisters. They are "you" and "I." So three cheers (hey! hey! hey!) to those who live life with grace and dignity! I admire you. To all of you who are reading this.. I love you.. and still do.

Don't hate

5 & A Dime

My friend Jeff works there and he'd been asking me for a while to come in to "model" some of their clothes. Being a good friend, I obliged once I lost my job since I couldn't use the excuse "I'm working" anymore. This was kinda a while back.. but here are two of the pics I grabbed from the website. The owner, Jay, is pretty cool and laid back. Every so often I come by and visit.. especially after eating at the nearby Neighborhood Bar & Grill.. which has the best burgers and jalapeno mac'n'cheese in town! If you haven't checked out this downtown gem, do so today. Oh.. and btw.. these shirts are on sale too!

I been a Saboteur

WFIL_FINAL_2WFIL_1
The cradle of teen culture in america, the WFIL Building, 45th and Market.  Where Dick Clark launched American Bandstand and successive generations expressed themselves without Dick’s permission ( I see you BLINT). We were under orders to make a work that “sold” the current mission of the building, to encourage entrpreneurship among the youth of the neighborhood . The word entrepreneurship almost sunk the deal, 15 letters is a problem to work with. So I proposed  I BEEN A RANCONTEUR TALKING MY DREAM – I BEEN A SABOTEUR KILLING MY DREAM –  I BEEN AN AMATEUR JUST DREAMING – NOW I AM A ENTREPRENEUR LIVING THE DREAM.  Our wordplay is better than Coldplay on their best day

Aaargh! My glasses!

"Aaargh! My glasses!" -Milhouse

I thought I'd put these right over some light switches... just in case people need some extra assistance.

I swear to good you are god at this.

Holiday Matinee's new book 'I swear to good you are god at this.' is just full of mondo badassness. It's chockful of inspiration and also features a few San Diego references: The Hive in East Village and Sezio.org, a local non-profit art organization.

I found out about this book in the February issue of 944 Magazine. Yesterday, whilst I was at my friend Joy's house painting, eating, drinking and being merry.. she had it on her coffee table for my very own enjoyment! The universe keeps surprising me! Pick it up.. create the movement.
