My new favorite (lil) person in the world

Check out this blog: http://www.thestylerookie.com/
I've heard rumblings here and there about this little fashionista. I don't mean any offense by the world little.. but she is much younger than I and would definitely consider her a little sister.. only one with mad style and a blog full of such spunk, and surprisingly... maturity? I love little Tavi. Especially because she rocks blue hair.

What is Wrong

with this picture?
It's Rielle Hunter, John Edwards' mistress in the new GQ magazine. I would like to know who the stylist was for this shoot?! It's just wrong on so many levels.

Missed Connections

Have you ever gone on Craigslist and looked up their missed connection board? I have out of sheer curiosity. It's kind of strange that there is an actual message board where people post their brief encounters with strangers.. hoping to connect somehow, someway via post. The amazing illustrator Sophie Blackwell knows this and takes it to another level. Using her illustrative and watercolor skills, she finds inspiration in these 'missed connections' and brings life to them. I love how she captures a single moment and transforms it into such beautiful art. Here are some examples of her fabulous works of art....

And if you want to know more.. you can check out this video on vimeo which explains the process behind each drawing. It's so inspiring!

CorePower Yoga

Fortunately for me, my friend Pauline asked me to do yoga with her last week. Not just any ol' yoga.. but CorePower Yoga. The difference between regular yoga and CorePower yoga is that although one concentrates more on poses, flexibility, and meditation.. CorePower also focuses on your 'core' muscles. It's like a blend of pilates and yoga. Why did I voluntarily go to a CorePower 2 class? I'm not sure but I do know that it kicked my ass! This class is similar to Bikram's yoga, where the temperature of the room is regulated to make sure you 'sweat 'til you bleed.' Okay, maybe not bleed but sweat-sweat. Our instructor that night was named Steve and it was such a lovely blessing to have yoga re-introduced into my life.. that I invited my friends Tarin and Joy to come along to another class yesterday. This time, it was the CorePower 1: Introduction to Yoga class taught by the wonderful Jessa. The temperature was not as extreme, but you still get a major work out from it. She closed with such a mind-opening 'speech' that it seriously almost brought tears to my eyes! (It's probably my out of control hormones- sorry boyfriend for having to deal with such a hormonal woman! and thank you for always being by my side.) The great thing about CorePower yoga is that if you are a new student, you can try 'em out for a week at no cost! Also, if you are a student.. you can get a pretty good discount! Check 'em out here and I guarantee you will NOT be disappointed! Namaste.

What would be a..

rhetorical question in real life, once again the Japanese have gone out of their way to find out just how. How what, you ask? "How far would a person be thrown.. if a bidet was powered by a firehose?" Here's a funny little vid that will surely brighten your Monday morning.
